Frequently Asked Questions

Fuller Funeral Home's Pets at Peace

Q.What is private cremation?
A. Private cremation means that one pet is cremated in the cremation chamber at one time. Another pet is not cremated until the previous pet’s cremated remains are removed.

Q. What is communal cremation?
A. Communal cremation is when several pets are cremated at one time. Sometimes this is referred to as separated cremation where the crematory operator will separate several pets in the cremation chamber with refractory bricks or cremation pans and cremate the pets together. The operator will generally draw a map of the pet’s location in the cremation chamber for removal. The chance of commingling is very high. This practice is used by many mass cremation providers.

Q. What should I do if my pet passes away at my residence?
A. Contact Pets at Peace immediately. We will usually arrive at your residence within an hour. Pet’s at Peace operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Q. How do I know that I receive my pet’s ashes?
A. Pet’s at Peace provides only private cremation to the public. Identification is our priority. From the moment a pet is received our identification tracking system is put in place. We guarantee that you will receive only your pet’s cremated remains.

Q. How long will it take to get my pet’s ashes back?
A. Generally cremated remains will be available for return to the family with 24/48 hours. If a specially ordered urn or name plaque is chosen this may be delayed for delivery of that item. Same day cremation is available.

Q. If I euthanize my pet at a Veterinary Hospital can I still use Pet’s at Peace?
A. Yes! Some veterinarians do use out of town cremation services but you may request to your Veterinarian that you wish to use the service of Pet’s at Peace. You may also contact Pet’s at Peace prior to your appointment and we are available to meet you.
